Nowhere to Run
How does an Orthodox Jew from a small Polish village rescue a teenage girl imprisoned in a Nazi Labor Camp and plot a harrowing escape to Palestine?
“Nowhere to Run is a tragic tale, a true love story, and a novel that cracks open volumes of hidden history that should never be forgotten.”
—Marcia Bradley, author of The Home for Wayward Girls
About the Author
Born in Italy, my first five years of life were spent in Europe’s postwar refugee camps. Upon arriving in America, English became my fifth language. I thought I knew my parents’ Holocaust history but after my mother’s death I translated her secret journal and uncovered some startling facts.
It became the inspiration for NOWHERE TO RUN, an unforgettable love story marked by danger, intrigue and uncommon valor, set in Poland, Ukraine, Italy and Germany from 1939 to 1950, based on my parents’ daring exploits during WWII and its aftermath.
